CuCo’s in-house hydrometallurgical plant is specifically designed for the treatment of base metals, where the ore is first milled down specified microns. After the milling the material then enters the leaching phase to dissolve the metals into solution.

After leaching the pregnant solution then goes through multiple processes and filters to target individual metals and extracted in the form of hydroxides, sulfates, or oxides.

These solid filtered materials are then dissolved again and the material is pumped to our in-house Electrowinning plant for further refinement to get the a pure alloy which can then be fed into furnaces for further melting and casting in various shapes and sizes.
